One of the best sections of trail in Arizona. I founded it way back in 1989 when it was just a game and cow trail. The the forest service came along and developed it, then never maintain it.
The influx of "equestrians" my nice way of saying Rednecks has quadrupled the deterioration of the trail system. The USFS quadrupled the parking at the north gate but money or crews allocated for maintenance or improvements to make the trails safer.
THAT is just stupid.
Watch for the elk calf around 11:30.
